In a technical hackathon organized by Hisense Europe Group, I developed an innovative engineering solution for the next generation of washing machines. My winning concept focused on providing accurate estimations for wash times, water usage, and power consumption, significantly enhancing user experience and efficiency. In addition to the technical solution, I designed a prototype user interface (UI) for the washing machine’s control panel and a quick UI for a companion mobile app, ensuring seamless integration and usability across devices. The innovative solution presented for the Hisense Europe Group hackathon showcased a forward-thinking approach to modern laundry technology. By offering precise estimations for wash times, water, and energy consumption, the solution aims to optimize user convenience and sustainability. The prototype UIs for both the washing machine and the mobile app provide intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, bridging the gap between advanced technology and everyday usability. This project demonstrates the potential for innovation in household appliances and reflects a commitment to enhancing the consumer experience through smart design and engineering.
